There will be a big update coming soon with a new series of works that I’ve been barreling ahead with at the wee hours of the morning. It’s the first time I’ve really attempted anything like this, and I hope that it is everything I think it is.

The concept revolves around psychological transformation and the id, and takes place in a post-civilized world, where something massive and traumatic has occurred but we are not quite sure what.

Pardon the two-month hiatus—nevertheless, I’m back here to keep the updates flowing. Much has happened this summer since graduation, lots of work being done, to start, Woody Allen:

I’ve been thinking about doing a series of my favorite directors, specifically ones who have influenced my own work. I would like to post one I did of Akira Kurosawa, but according to my folks it looks very similar to my grandmother, so I’m redoing it. Maybe I’ll do a series of my relatives and their celebrity look-alikes. Yes? No?

In other news, I’ve been waiting to hear back from festivals concerning Briefly on Liberty, and in anticipation, designing the DVD case for distribution. I’ll take a photo of the package when they are delivered.

The coming two months are going to be interesting. In the mean time, here are some recent sketches:

This painting had been hanging around in The Tea Room, a restaurant I worked at through out college, for about six months or so. I put it up, along with a larger one in hopes that somebody would notice it. Low and behold someone did! Made my day!

P.S. The 1895 Inn is incredible.

COMING SOON TO A THEATER NEAR YOU.

Pretty soon, my film (as advertised to the left) will be “hitting up” yonder festival circuits. The production of it was grueling to say the least, but nonetheless, the final product I am not only happy with, but proud of. Ten months in the making and finally it has come to fruition. Through out the various stages of production I experienced enough physical and mental challenges to make me second guess everything I was doing (filming on a beach at night in January was probably not the smartest idea) but with the support of a wonderful cast and crew and the prospect of seeing this film made we all pushed on through and succeeded with two nominations (Best Editor, Best Actor) at the Savannah College of Art and Design‘s SCADemy Awards.
